Benefits to Students
Recognition of individual academic achievement; leadership opportunities through chapter officer positions; opportunity to write for The Honors Journal (official newsletter of the society published twice yearly); distinctive membership certificates; use of Alpha Beta Gamma resumé forms; discounts on car rentals; exchange of intellectual ideas at local chapter functions and at Annual Leadership Conference; networking opportunities with other business and professional students and business leaders; enhancement of employment applications and applications for four-year degrees; over $500,000 in scholarships for four-year degrees reserved for ABG members; graduation stoles, tassels, membership keys and other regalia available.
Benefits to the Community
Alpha Beta Gamma provides a vehicle to honor outstanding business professionals and community leaders through National Honorary Membership in the Society, and to bring business professionals on campus to speak to and assist students. Delta Chapter, for example, sponsors a “Power Breakfast with a President” featuring a CEO from a prominent local business. These CEOs speak on academic and employment topics in a motivational manner, give advice and answer students’ questions on how to succeed in today’s market. Kiwanis and Lions Clubs are great sources of business speakers for the chapter.
